The Isanna
The Isanna have been on Gor for over 20 years. In that time there have been many changes. Most of this board was written by different authors about,Gor; specifically the Isanna.
The Isanna Nation people live on, yet never leave the Barrens. White's (wasicu)are hated with a vengeance. Traders are permitted. Settlers who barter for land soon face a reality check. Respect is expected, arrogance may lead to some unpleasant results. FW may enter without concern, and may be tolerated. Outriders patrol the Isanna Lands ďuring the day, guards atop Council Rock at night. The wechote has its own warrior(akicita) guards.
We are the Red Savages of Gor. We are a proud, culturally enriched, hierarchical society.
Life is flexible if you follow Isanna Ways.
THE WECHOTE
The wechote is 5 pasangs from the Ihanke. It would therefore take time to get across Lands to reach the wechote. During which time you will be seen by the Outriders during the day and the lookouts on Council Rock at night.
The lookouts use mirrors to communicate with the patrol of your existence on the Barrens.
Non Isanna persons may only bring 3 kaila ontq ISANNA lANDS
Wagons would be easily be seen as would large groups of kaiila and men.
During the day tarns will be easily spotted from atop Council Rock.Fires are seen at night from atop Council Rock.
You would enter the wechote via a small trail, designed so no large group of raiders may descend on the wechote. You are met by a number of akicitas who would insist you travel on foot to the central fires.
The wechote is made up of a number of lodges in a circle around the fires. The tall Council Rock is of an immense size which towers over the lodges. It is a stones throw from the fires.
Families live within the lodges
A pathway connects all parts of the wechote and meanders down to the Kaiila River.
You may take your weapons into the wechote. As a guest no one would confront you until you touch them. Here guards may wound any attacker.
Some white drinks are not appropriate, thus we only keep kalana for visitors. Isanna may only drink water.(ama)
If you need to stay overnight a lodge will be prepared on one condition. Once in a lodge your only only movement will be to the fires.
It is disrespectful to touch a inahan(slave). As far as she is concerned you are the enemy. We do not have male slaves.
If you see the need to be abusive you will be escorted from Isanna Lands. We see no great satisfaction in killing an abusive, arrogant person
Whilst we have killed others before who make demands it is a waste of time to do so. Patience is not one of our good traits though
Unfortunately you may lose your kaiila and have to walk out of the Lands. We will permit the barter of goods to keep them.
The akictas here number 25+. There are 25-80 Isanna camped within the same area.
Escape is beyond a joke. Just leave.
